hi there! yaa.. it was me who changed the skin happier you think? neways, post your comments on the board and if you wna get linked.. post it on the board too! came here to blog cause - i was bored - and cause woony persuaded me to =.= school hols give you a sense of false comfort you think so? i do ... its honestly boring with no schedule to follow i was just thinking about this a chat with my cousin a few days ago when i watched xmen3 X-men, a group of mutants with special powers are outcasted by the society as they are thought to be different from the rest. But, come to think of it, there is no negatvie connotations to mutations, they are just changes in the genes to suit the environment thats all. Well, it is true that mutations is an adaptation. It helps animals to survive better in a particular habitat. You got to know, it is a competitive world out there in the animal kingdom and any means of mutation that helps them to survive is widely welcomed. But back to the point, won't it be cool to have the abilities to walk through walls, or have superhuman strength? Though it may be scary initially, as one gets used to it, controlling them is not a problem. Or maybe, just that with this special powers, we can defend ourselved better and will survive better as compared to others.
But though X-men are fictitious characters, the science is still true in the real world. Take a look at those with sickle cell anaemia--a substitution mutation of the thymine to adenine in the gene coding for the beta-globin. This will result in the red blood cell to become sickle shape. But then, although this people may suffer lack of oxygen, however in a place infested with malaria, we see the thriving of such induviduals. Hence, is for certain that mutation always carry some form of negative connotations or is mutation for the benefit of a particular community to survive in the habitat it is placed in?
make sense? or maybe you all wont understand it lol i dint in the first place most explanation done by my cousin age gap you see hes 17 this year anyways happy thinking!
